Meet Suite 501

Meet Suite 501

Hey friends! Goodness, it’s seems like forever since I’ve shared anything in this space. I’ve been floating back and fourth from our new home to the new workspace and sharing has gotten a little lost in the transition. In the midst of a lot of commotion, I moved out of my home office into a studio space in Cleveland. The space is located in the ArtCraft Building, a building in midtown where maternity mannequins were once manufactured and steps from the goodness of Superior Pho.

We’ve taken our time planning, building, buying and collecting. Early on, we teamed up with our crazy talented friends, Colleen and Kevin who assisted us in space planning (a husband and wife duo who have a knack for organizing space and crafting custom cabinetry). Our plans included a lot of found elements and custom fixtures, which has meant everything takes time.

Phase one has included building out our kitchenette – a combination of handmade and Ikea. Collecting found seating, scavenging for a reclaimed barn wood table, scoring an old galvanized cart for $75 (it’s perfect for moving goods by way of the freight elevator), installing a 12 foot custom work station and experimenting with a shelving system that I’m super excited about (hopefully, I can share it sometime next month). While we continue to make it our home, I’m delighted to share a snippet of our first few months in suite 501 – hope you enjoy!

I’ll be back to share inspiration for phase two and bit more of what I’ve been up to – see you soon!
